Mountain Lion Hunts

Mountain lion populations in Montana are definitely on the increase, creating exceptional hunting opportunities for those seeking one of North America's most elusive and magnificent predators! Our mountain lion hunts have consistently delivered outstanding results, with historically high success rates and impressive trophies, including some cats over 150 pounds that represent truly world-class specimens. The season runs from December 1st through February 15th, positioned perfectly during Montana's winter months when tracking conditions are optimal and these powerful cats are most active.

Even though we utilize snowmobiles and horses to efficiently follow our experienced hounds through the backcountry, make no mistake, these are extremely strenuous hunts that demand physical fitness, mental toughness, and a genuine passion for adventure. The terrain is challenging, the weather can be unforgiving, and the pursuit often leads through steep, snow-covered mountainous terrain that will test your endurance and determination. If you're in excellent physical condition and crave some serious mid-winter excitement, join us for the chance to harvest one of these incredible trophies while experiencing the raw intensity of hound hunting in Montana's pristine wilderness.

The adrenaline rush of following the pack through untouched snow, the musical sound of hounds on a hot track, and the ultimate confrontation with one of nature's most perfect predators creates an unforgettable hunting experience. Important note: licenses can be purchased online but require a mandatory five-day waiting period before they can be used, so plan accordingly to ensure you're ready when your hunt begins.
